Could be that if someone asked Lou Reed his opinion on how to build theperfect fuzz box they might discover that he's a charming, chatty, informative gent.
I've read articles suggesting that was the case.
On the other hand, the stories of him gradually removing Quine's work from the recordings suggest that he's a small-minded control freak with an insecurity complex.
Quine said something like "Lou offered me a lot of money to stay in his band, but no matter how much money you have, you can't treat people the way he did."
On yet another hand, I don't think that affected his opinion of the music and I think they made some sort of peace before Quine's death, so if he's not going to hold a grudge over it, why should I?
