(TV) Tom On The Mount / 43 / Steel
Don't want to sound like an obsessive compulsive, but---
The link/clipping sent by Claudia made me a little suspicious because in
about 10 interviews TV also refers to his *older* brother (and I 'm pretty
sure he had only 1 brother). I figured if the bio-clipping had got that
wrong they may have also got his birthplace wrong.
All my articles, music books (that have a mention of his birthplace), as
well as the 43 links below claim it was Mt. Morris, NJ.
Although to pick up on a recent Joe Thornton post about Tom's "..time spent
in the South.." ----I 've always felt Delaware was more of a Southern state
than simply a border state (my best friend grew up in Delaware and still
says "Youall"). But I don't hear any Southern/C&W musical roots influences
in his guitar playing. His voice though is another story. I've always
thought Patti Smith was dead-on when she wrote":
"[... He's a creature of opposites. The way he comes on like a dirt farmer
and a prince ..."
