Very interesting post - two quick comments:

1. "(I'd like to think of "Yonqi Time" as an aberration, except that Verlaine
persists in releasing it, even finding a place for it on A Miller's Tale)". I'm
at work right now, but I am 99.9% sure "Yonki Time" isn't on MILLER'S TALE.
Perhaps you're thinking of "The Revolution"?
