If that's true (about Neil and "Ohio"), that would surprise me. Neil's done 
it at a number of his solo shows as well. I always thought he was proud of it.

And for the latter, no question at all. I'm guessing that for some, writing 
is the most direct way of dealing with the strong emotions.
