I think I read somewhere that Neil Young has had some remorse for writing
"Ohio" but I'm not sorry he wrote it and CSNY played the hell out of it .
Out of tragedy a lot of great art has been created. Did Picasso have remorse
for painting Guernica ? In Clapton's case the tragedy is personal, all the
more appropriate a well from which to draw inspiration I'd say.
