Re: (TV) OT: Fugazi The Argument

What a great band they were(haven't heard their most recent) and, more importantly what great people. When I was doing gigs years ago I got a phone saying do you want to put on Ian Mackaye's new band--the first record was due to be out by the time of the gig--nothing was available to hear but I said yes. Minor Threat did some pretty amazing stuff and that was good enough for me. I never regretted it. By the time of the show the first record was out and I had been playing it a lot. I remember Ian got a lot of stick at the time for singing 'Suggestion' in the first person. You only have to listen to the emotion in his voice though to realise how sincere this was.......it still sounds great now. The whole of the band had flu when they got to the club however they put on a marvellous show. One of my memorable nights.One of the great punk singers in my book.

well russ,i hope you are interested enough to check out their other stuff.
*repeater* and *in on the killtaker*
are both good places to start.....if it's not blasphemy,i might say i like
them as much as some "other band".....maybe even m..................nah!
