(TV) Re: TV Digest V1 #506

Just wanted to let the list know I was pokin' around at Borders today between 
classes and came across a book which had names like "Tom Verlaine" and "Elvis 
Costello" strewn all across the cover. I didn't note the author or title, 
though, as I peeked at the section on Verlaine -three pages, and full of 
errors...such as saying his sound in Television and on his early solo stuff 
relied heavily on his "Fender Jazztone guitar". It had a cool picture of Tom 
in Television, w/ unusually longish hair -well, longer than most photos I've 
seen from those days anyway, but somehow this error and the generally sparse 
coverage of both Mr. Verlaine and everyone else is the book didn't seem to 
warrant the $17.95 purchase price. Just thought I'd put out a note in case it 
hasn't come up yet...you completists know who you are.

Incidentally, why can't I find the Blank Generation/Dancin' Barefoot DVD 
anywhere in Chicago? Isn't it out now?
