Mike's answer (EGO) is definitely a good one. Some other possible

Mainly a debunking of the "key man" idea (the "I'll follow Clive
wherever he goes" kind of thing), the article mainly argues that
artists won't follow executives to other companies. Okay, fine--but
why do they stay? One compelling reason buried at the end of the
article is that by leaving, the artists lose any say in how the back
catalog is administered. (Of course, how many artists have any say
on this to begin with?)
