However, that doesn’t mean the other 10 digital tracks were remastered. Moreover, they could have taken Verlaine’s original 1984 analogue tape of the Extended Mix version of ‘5 Miles Of You’ from which the vinyl 12-inch 45 rpm EP was made [I am holding in my hands right now my copy: Side A: ‘5 Miles Of You” (5:37) // Side B: ‘Your Finest Hour’ and ‘Dissolve /Reveal, Instrumental’ (7:17)] , and remastered it for the 2018 “Cover” Expanded Version cd for its digital version of ‘5 Miles Of You’ (Extended Mix Version); OR they could have taken the 1996 digital version on “The Miller’s Tale” of the Extended Mix version of ‘5 Miles Of You’, and remastered it for their 2018 “Cover” cd Expanded Version of the same song. BUT we don’t know for sure they did Either of the above given there is no info on the 2018 Expanded CD of “Cover”. As I said earlier, I can detect no audible difference between the 1984 , 1996, and 2018 cds’ versions of any of the songs. Maybe other people on this Mailing List care to listen and compare. I do claim that the vinyl 12-inch 45 rpm EP of ‘5 Miles Of You’ (Extended Mix version) sounds best of the three versions of ‘5 Miles Of You’ (Extended Mix version), but that’s a whole other topic! :> ) Leo From: tv-owner@obbard.com <tv-owner@obbard.com> On Behalf Of Rex Broome Five Miles has to be a significantly different version what with not just randomly stopping cold at some point, though...
