 Thanks, Keith, for the link to that enjoyable Verlaine interview. ��I feared he was getting crankier in his old age about interviews, not wa
nting to do them any more. Those Q & As he was doing lately, apparently via
 journalists emailing him lists of questions & him emailing answers back, w
ere disappointing, as Tom would choose to completely ignore most questions,
 & offer but short answers to the few he'd answer (as Maurice's friend also
 discovered). As Maurice says, this radio interview's a really good one, wi
th Tom being open and apparently willing to talk about any topic. Surprisin
g to hear him single out Maureen Tucker's drumming as what especially 
made VU stand out for him as having a unique sound. 
Also, thanks to whom ever posted that link to a recent Richard Lloyd interv
iew. Enjoyed reading it.

has some stuff of interest. He says when he first auditioned for Tom in 198
1, though Rip was playing guitar around NY at the time, he was pretty much 
 unfamiliar with Tom's music, including Television, up until then. Sur
prising. His comments about working with Mick Jagger for 4 years are intere

Wow--that's a friendly and forthcoming interview, and cool to hear some 
positive impressions of the city.  (The 2002 film soundtracks show was
 
at the Regent Square Theater, in the neighborhood of the same name. It 
is a neat little neighborhood.)  Nice find, Keith!  (A friend did
 an 
email interview for this show, but it didn't turn up a lot of content.)��
