Pittsburgh & Acoustics of old theaters/ New Telev. Album / RE: (TV) Verlaine audio interview 24/9

Yes, his fondness for Pittsburgh's neighborhoods was interesting.

He said the live shows are fun. Never thought I'd hear him use that word in
that context. He seems to really like old theaters for their superior
acoustics when the band plays live. I am looking forward to Sunday night
October 4 at Boston's ancient Wilbur Theater (used to be NYC Broadway plays
would play at the Wilbur and some other theaters in Boston before opening in
NYC , to get the play "tuned-up"). Thank God Television are not playing The
Paradise Rock Club this time ... although according to Jack Fraser The
Wilbur's sound-system is nothing special.

His comments about the VU's Maureen Tucker's drumming were perceptive.

When asked about the "new" Television album by interviewer, Tom said the
reason why it's sat unfinished for so long is because he is guilty of being
lazy.

Wow--that's a friendly and forthcoming interview, and cool to hear some
positive impressions of the city. (The 2002 film soundtracks show was
at the Regent Square Theater, in the neighborhood of the same name. It
is a neat little neighborhood.) Nice find, Keith! (A friend did an
email interview for this show, but it didn't turn up a lot of content.)
Going to be there, of course.
