For me, the frustration lies in the wasted potential.  It was so poorly stewarded.

Like Rhett Butler's take on the Civil War  "all I see is the enormous waste."

Or Salieri in Amadeus, looking at the incredible talent Mozart had and squandered.

Television could have become a brand name.  They could all be retired on Mustique if they had played by the rules.
