The original "Criminal World" is a fantastic, Roxy-worthy atmospheric track
.
Hear it here: http://youtu.be/fPLkzskWmq8
"Criminal World"
will be one of the highlights of this set, sandwiched between two other hi
ghlights: Verlaine's "Kingdom Come" (superior to Bowie's cover) and Iggy's
"Don't Look Down" (VASTLY superior to the awful mid-80s Bowie remake, for w
hich the world would be a measurably better place without).

As a Bowie fanatic, I have almost al
l of these tracks, but might pick this
up anyway, if only for the sheer e
clecticism of this disc ("Sorrow" AND
"Criminal World"??)
This is pa
rt of ongoing series from Ace Records. I have an earlier disc from
them,
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST, with a lot of interesting rarities, including
th
e original "Suspicious Minds", an echo of the version Elvis would make
ve
ry famous a few months later.
