Re: (TV) Need some help - please?
Deb:
I must have missed your post re. that particular Hell interview you
mention as I'd likely have remembered otherwise. Sounds like the usual inte
rviewer-interviewee tables got oddly turned. Usually it's the interviewee w
ho wants to avoid certain topics, not the interviewer. Which reminds me, I
wonder if Hell's still lodging copyright claims at youtube to get recording
s of him singing with Television blocked? I've had two Hell-with-Television
youtube uploads blocked by Hell in the past, & am not likely try to anothe
r one as uploaders with repeated claims like that risk getting their ent
ire youtube channels banned. Last I checked, Voidoids material stood a much
better chance of staying up at yt. Hell apparently doesn't mind talking ab
out his Television days. He just doesn't want anyone hearing recordings of
him singing from those days, apparently!

Hey Bob,
A long time
a
go on here I posted a link to a Mike Watt radio show episode featuring
him
interviewing Richard Hell. He wanted him to discuss the early da
ys back
when he was in Television and also, prob the Neon Boys. Mike
didn't want
to go there and you could tell how frustrated Mike got about
that and seem
ed to get offended by it. I don't think Mike was trying
to upset Hell, b
ut he retains a boyish enthusiasm about music and it's h
istory and just enj
oys talking about it...I find it charming.
And I
know there used to be
a YouTube of Mike doing LJJ, but I can't remember
who else was playing w/
him.
