While I have tried to enjoy his past writing, I honestly have never been able to.  To me, the first chapter of this book is merely a series of recollections that don't necessarily tie together or go anywhere.  I'll read the full book when it comes out, but I don't have high hope that it will be one of the better rock autobiographies.
