(TV) James Wolcott’s “Lucking Out" Review

...a 21-year-old Wolcott was waiting endlessly, over and over again, for 
Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd of Television to get their guitars 
stringed to taste (/it always took them forever to tune up, bent over 
their guitars like car mechanics over a tricky transmission/). There, 
he would often step out the CBGBs gate onto the sidewalk at the Bowery 
and Bleeker Street for some air.
