There are several shows with that added verse.
99.9% sure Verlaine sings " **the** view", i.e.,  as in the local view from
one of the town's [in the dream] high elevation points (e.g., Summit Ave. in
Brookline, MA. 

...Whatever... 
There supposedly exist bootlegs of some of Verlaine's and Television's shows
1974-2006), but I nor anyone on *this" List would know anything about any of
those bootlegs! [smile] Maybe the Television-Group Mailing List might know.

However, I know that I attended the May 27, 1992 Boston show at the Paradise
Rock Club on Commonwealth Ave. [no views from that part of Comm. Ave.), and
during 'Souvenir From  A Dream' he sang the verse to which you referred.

Maybe you guys can help me out.  I'm trying to remember which Tom show did
where he sang this added verse:

"Not because we love a view,
just because we've got nothin' else to do" (I love that)

I believe it's from Souvenir from a Dream, right?

But I just can't remember which show it's from...anyone?
