Filler? So my book on the Civil War where the war itself doesn't begin until
after p. 100 contains 100+ pages of filler?

I wouldn't get too excited.
If you look at the book's Table of Contents/Chapters on Amazon.com's "Look
inside",
you will see that the actual discussion/analysis of the album
does not begin until p.156! and ends at p. 207.
The rest is all historical filler.
