And of course it's mashed up with a lot of Rimbaud references (Rimbaud
having famously been the generally-better-regarded lover of poet Paul
Verlaine...)
Was Patti the first one who put a song within a song...like she did on
Horses? You know, putting a section of Land of a 1000 Dances within the other
song?
And also her reinterpretation of Van's song Gloria...the way she re-worked
that...
I can't think of anyone doing that before her. Anyone?
