Richard has officially left Television and announced the fact. If there is
still a band then I guess Jimmy Ripp would be the obvious replacement.
Recording has been done with and without Richard but who knows if an album
will ever appear?

They haven't played a gig since June c2007   - Summerstage, Central Park, NYC,
when Richard was very ill with Pneumonia and Ripp played.

I usually manage to get news, and certainly of Richard's activities but Dennis
is your man on the spot, as it were ;) If anything happens with Television,
you'll certainly hear it here first!

Thanks for the info...so I guess you could say that they are in a 'stall' mode
or maybe a 'wait and see' mode.

Tom occasionally will still do a solo gig though then once in a blue moon or a
Marquee Moon, him and Jimmy Ripp.  Thanks for the correct spelling of his last
name, I first thought it was Ripp but then I've seen it also spelled Rip, so I
wasn't sure which was correct. 

I wonder what would spur Tom on to do another solo performance?  I wish he
would do more...I guess everyone here already wishes for that though.

Btw, I haven't got through all the archives yet, but your search function
works well on it.  I wanted to look up info on that Wire mag that Tom was on
the cover of and I had no problem finding your discussion on that.
