(TV) Tom as a Wse investment / Mrs. Secret X Behind the Curtain / Re: (TV) Verlaine on sale at DeepDiscount.com
Hey Philip,
You should get a cut of Tom's share of each cd.
I'm wondering if T.V. not releasing the 4th "tv"-album (or anything else) is because his
smoking finally caught up to him and his now serious health concerns swamp any plans for
releases.
See, if Ms. Secret X was still with us she would know the answers.
(Anyone see any news/reviews on that short, electric duo tour of Japan with Ripp last October?
Maybe he died from sushi poisoning over there? )
Just for the record [bear with me for a sec. Keith, I know your response to this is a hearty
"Who cares!" :>) ]
her initials are L.T. She first met Verlaine during tv's 1978 tour in S.F.; at the time she was
a H.S. sophomore
writing music articles for a S.F. fanzine. I tried contacting her recently, but her last
e-mail address is extinct.
(I know several people think she just made up all the stuff she wrote on this List, but I must
say I never found a
single discrepancy against what I already knew from my own research/oppressiveness.)
RE: extra cd copies of Verlaine/Telev's work:
When they first starting coming out I bought a lot of extra copies of all 7 of the Collectors'
Choice (CC) re-issues/remasters;
I figured it was a better investment than tax-free Municipal bond and that by the time my 11
yr. old nephew was applying to colleges,
I 'd be a wealthy man and coup pay his way. (And the very rare accidentialcWrong-Mix by CC
1st solo album will allow me to move to warmer climes).
The only extra CC one I regret selling was "Live At The Waldorf" as no more exist.
I have a copy in very good condition of the Verlaine/P. Smith poetry collaboration, "The
Night",
but it's not a 1st ed., signed copy, so my niece will have to pay her own tuition.

More seriously, Philip, thanks for the feedback on my Q on digitalizing vinyl the other day; it
looks like I'm going to
buy a good but cheap soundcard from Joe Hartley and go the non-USB method.
"He did what we all do.
He went about his dull routine
as if all the days in the world
were still to come".
