Very interesting.  I had a friend, who is now sadly passed from this mortal
coil, who had been friends with Mapplethorpe and had full access to his 
archives after his passing in order to choose photographs for a posthumous
exhibit of his work.  I wonder if she'd have been able to help in finding
some of those other photos that are being sought... but we'll never know.
