info below on nyc screenings of this great ayler
documentary. has had only very limited release in the
u.s., and is not available on dvd. definitely worth
catching if you can (and perhaps you'll run into tom
-- if so tell him hello for me <g>). i saw it a few
months ago in austin -- sent with the director's
instructions to "play it loud!"

My Name Is Albert Ayler was a major success when it
had its New York theatrical premiere run late last
year. Now its back for five days of encore
screenings.
Opens Friday April 18 at Anthology Film Archives.
Screens through Tuesday April 22 at 7.00 & 9.00.
Additional screenings on Saturday and Sunday at 5:00.
