the current issue of spin takes a look at punk 30
years on from the release of "never mind the
bollocks." richard takes part in a group discussion on
the new york scene, along with tommy ramone, handsome
dick manitoba, debbie harry and chris stein.  there is
also a nice contemporary photo of all these folks
gathered together.  his upcoming album is referenced.

on a completely unrelated note, i am loving the recent
reissue of young marble giants' "colossal youth" (3
cds).  the music holds up very well.
