Your questions arrived just in time to allow me to procrastinate at work.

credits list no keyboards
Plausible[?] explanation:
I had mention in my review of "Songs and Other Things" that
although I have always been a fan of Tom's keyboard/organ
work, I didn't like the cheesy organ on the track 'Orbit'.
It turns out that this may not have been an organ. At the
Thurs., May 18 show at The Bowery Ballroom, Jimmy Rip
using his guitar (and effect box?) made the *exact* same
sound that appeared to be an organ on 'Orbit.

Subject: (TV) Verlaine keyboard question
Does anyone know the following:
1: What kind of keyboard, synth, organ is he using on
Around. It's got a real unique sound, kind of
organish but a little spooky sounding.
2: Why does he never list himself as playing
keyboards?
Thanks,
greg
