Hi, Jay. Yep, it's a very quiet list. I compensate by trawling the net for
reviews of the new album. :)

I agree, "The Day on You" is the best song on the album, particularly love
the guitars that erupt just after the false ending. You just want this song
to go on forever1 Certainly it's in my top 15 Verlaine songs of all time.

I've had the album for a couple of months and at first my favourites were
Shingaling", "The Day on You", and "Documentary", but it's one of those
albums where my favourites keep changing; lately it's been "Blue Light" and
Lovebird Insane Asylum" that I keep coming back to.

The only "issue" I have with the album is that the sequencing seems all
wrong. "The Day on You" would be better placed somewhere in the middle of
the record, instead of near the end. Similarly "Heavenly Charm" seems
misplaced, coming as it does after an instrumental. Anyway, just my opinion
..

diarreah than the new verlaine cds

not sure what others think, but after numerous
listens, "the day on you" is THE masterpiece on
"songs..."

no song really comes close
