TELEVISION vocalist TOM VERLAINE has blasted fellow singer NEIL DIAMOND'S ability to carry a tune. The MARQUEE MOON rocker ranks the veteran singer/songwriter among the top five singers he "can't bear to hear" - with his own vocals following close behind at number six. The 56-year-old says, "Neil (Diamond) is a much worse singer than me, and I'm right up there with the worst.
"I'll tell you who the most underrated singer is: TODD RUNDGREN. He's astonishing."
Coincidentally I'm listening to the Utopia album Deface the Music right now.
