"OK... it was great to see Patti & the band, which I
haven't in a
while, and I always like hearing Redondo Beach. But
what was up with Tom Verlaine? I didn't see him on
stage at all at first, and he apparently was sitting
in the wings, in a black hoodie with
sunglasses, and was only on camera for a couple of
seconds, even
though he was playing lead (as Dave noted, in a
somewhat
idiosyncratic manner). Has he become stage-shy, or was
he just not feeling well or something?"
