  I've said the exact same thing before. Maybe someone with an extensive
gigography can contradict this, but excluding acoustic shows I can't imagine
either Television or TV solo have done a show without MM. And on some nights
three or four songs could have subbed in. Of course a lot of people who go
to their gigs do it just once to say they saw "the lengendary Television"
once and would be pissed not to hear it. On the other other hand, since when
has Tom cared about pissing off the audience?
 Thesis: I think I personally have spent more time listening to "Marquee
Moon" than any other single song. Because it's on the album I've listened to
more than any other, and I have so many live versions of it, and have heard
it live often, and each one of those listens constitutes at least ten
minutes and often far more, as opposed to, say, the under-three that I've
spent on each spin of "She Said She Said" or "Pretty Persuasion" or
whatever. Anyone else feel like they might be in the same boat?
