(TV) Ii-pod Cave / Re: Naive? Questions on Music Biz Changes
This question is going to make it seem like I've been living
in a cave [plus don't have an i-pod], but in 25 words or more :>) ,
can someone describe how this works?
Is it something along the lines of:
you buy an ipod. to get a song on i-pod from Apple or some
other corporation supplying it via internet, you and corporation
are charged fee by the artist. eventually no longer a need for cds
as 'everyone' gets their tunes the 'i-pod' route. therefore, non-signed
bands like Television and Cheese Makers never get heard except by fan(atic)s
who buy bands' tiny, handmade, cottage-industry output of cds. ?!?
