maybe one area where even keith can give u2 credit: 
they are taper-friendly.  they're not threatened by
fans recording their performances.  i admire that in
any performer.  

and on the topic of b.b. king:  agh!  i find u2
modestly interesting...b.b. king boring in the
extreme.  would rather drop a hammer on my foot than
listen to one of his albums.  though i would rather
listen to him than clapton.  still, i'll take the
hammer first.
