Re: (TV) More Whippersnappers trying to steal the Television Mantle!
I got in touch with richard lloyd when television were primed to play
edinburgh for the first time ever - we exchanged a few emails talking about
the venue/wherer to buy tickets where they were primed to play at and found
myself saying "you'll be fine playing there even though its not being
advertised because the strokes have been so hyped up over here and last week
they played to 3,000 and every review mentions television so it'll be fine
for you"
that was the end of the story,
understandably so, I would have hated to be in the same position where the
only interest in me is a reflection of a previous understanding of me
anyway, the tickets were on sale to the last minute....
and then they played and they were television
and the crowd was mixed

Dumb BBC "radio personality" on the Glastonbury TV coverage said that
Television were "obviously" an influence on Franz Ferdinand. Nonsense.
Bah... laziness!
