The Bottom Line was never for up and coming musicians (unless they had a
record contract). It was always an industry showcase. Maybe letting in all
the industry folks for free was not such a great business model.

I did see many a great show there, including Television, Patti Smith and
Lou Reed. But it was not a great club in my opinion. I could care less if
they closed.
