she is a great performer -- puts a lot into her shows.
 definitely worth seeing if you ever get the chance.

i started listening to patti when i was a kid and she
was in retirement -- about 1980.  i didn't think i'd
ever get to see her, but finally did at south by
southwest in 2000 -- her first texas show in 20 years.
 have gotten to see her four times now -- and all
without leaving town.
