(TV) message from a friend...(OT)

Last night I listened to PiL's Metal Box (Second
Edition) for the first 
time in many years.  Although in retrospect a few of
the songs are 
failures, there are some brilliant pieces and as a
cohesive work it is 
truly amazing.

The depressing thing is to realize just how far
"alternative rock" has 
fallen since and turned into just another formula 
(what a parody of 
himself Lydon became).  God, how most of the music now
really sucks.
