(TV) acoustic TV
The Slim's show has some really brilliant and funny moments. He tells these
long meandering stories (Judy's Dream, I Am Daylight, I Walk The Line - the
last is a hypothetical account of Johnny Cash's inspiration to write 'Ring
Of Fire'). There's an ace version of 'Ancient Egypt' and 'Man In The
Backyard'; some of the acoustic versions just sound too quiet, depressed,
maybe! -but he seems really engaged with the audience, responding to shouted
requests, even ~ and enjoying himself onstage. Not your typical TV set.
It sounds like he's playing in a small coffeehouse setting, not in a big
hall as he would have been when touring with The Church ( ? ).
