Hi, Mooners I received a few messages off-list 
that expressed more than a little doubt whether or 
not I was kidding in my last 'F*** You' e-mail.

So just to be safe, my e-mail was a joke.

irony: 1. the use of words  to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning.  2. incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected results.  

parody: 1. a literary or musical work in which the style of an author or work is closely imitated  for comic effect or in ridicule. 2. a feeble or ridiculous imitation. synonym see caricature

Maybe - but it does look as if I was the only one who had any doubt that
