Re: (TV) live CD:, New 'Listeners Friendly'

So why weren't they used? Were they ALL performances with which Tom/Television
was unhappy? Anyone know?

I know there is a contigent out there that thinks audience recordings are
superior to soundboard ones as they capture more of the "feel" of the show (the
audience, background/foreground chatter, hiss, the drunk guy yelling for
"Little Johnny Jewel", etc). I'm not in this camp. I think that, aside from
unusual circumstances (e.g., early appearances by bands no-one knew would ever
be famous - arguably even Television in 1978, when THE BLOW UP was recorded),
legit live albums should use professional sources.
