They play nothing from ADVENTURE save "Glory", and that was true in the 92/93
tour as well.
I think a lot of it has to do with ill-feeling associated with that record.
Richard Lloyd was not involved in lots of the recording - he was hospitalized
for a while - and in many ways it was seen as being more of a "Tom Verlaine
Band" record than a Television record. Only two of the tracks, as far as I
know, date from pre-1978 ("Careful" and "Foxhole") and were regular concert
features. The rest were all written while the record was being recorded, and
other than the co-write credit on "Days", I have a feeling they were almost
entirely Verlaine's work (not just in terms of songwriting credit, but also
arrangements - i.e., they weren't compositions the band had worked out in
concert for months/years before committing them to vinyl).
That being said, I still love every minute of the record, and agree that "The
Dream's Dream" is a stunning song. I've been listening to all my live
Television recordings lately, and was overwhelmed by the powerful version of
"The Dream's Dream" that is heard on the San Francisco 1978 show.
