RE: (TV) (OT) Pogues
The project sounds interesting, but why is there always a Shane MacGowan
story on St. Patrick's Day?
To paraphrase Frank Zappa: The modern-day drunken Paddy refuses to die! And
that's news, one day a year.
God bless him, he's bartered with the demons for years, and so far he's got
the best of the deal. He's been pronounced on death's door a thousand times
in 10 years, and he's still standing (albeit tilting a bit). And he's
right--he's already made a mark as deep as Brendan Behan, so let him follow
his heroes down if he chooses.
