I remember "lost weekend" as being both interesting and annoying, but the 
annoying bit won out - his vocals were always compared to lou reed at the 
time, but I couldnt see that either

Lloyd Cole did end up moving to New York and recording with Bob Quine 
amongst others (Did Richard Lloyd do anything with him ? memory fails me)

Funnily enough, even though none of us own any of his stuff, my band (if you 
can call it that) always get told 'it sounds just like lloyd cole' which 
pisses me off no end
