Pretty damn close.
The quote is from Sam Shepard's 1972
play, "Cowboy Mouth", which P. Smith
then Shepard's girlfriend helped with.

Definitely an American. "dig"--either this was written around
1965-1975, or the author is a hippie.

Can say "motorscooter"--obviously in touch with the comman man.
But not a hippie. Must be late 60s early 70s...sound more like
East Coast than West Coast.

This is prophetic yammering, but rather clever. Let's see...who's
