But, in all seriousness, would he even listen to an advance copy? Or would even
HE be certain which was the right mix offhand? Probably not - and this isn't
about Verlaine, really. Plenty of other reissues have made mistakes in the
final release - granted, getting the entire LP wrong is unusual - that the
artist has failed to catch beforehand.

I'm still angry about the botched-and-never-corrected 801 LIVE reissue Phil
Manzanera put out two or three years ago.
