RE: (TV) Verlaine in 1998 / Cry Mercy, Judge Casey!
I feel like Ralph Cramden of The Honeymooners----
after being caught by Alice-----"abbbbbbbbbbaaabbbaaaaaa!"
Sorry Steve, I apologize, and thanks to Maurice
for pointing out what he noticed.
Ok, Ms Secret X: for your 'punishment' you will be
forced at dawn (Pacific Coast Time) to listen to
one entire Music for Film cd-r and then immediately
a cd-r of a July 1998 Bowery Ballroom show and write a
160,000 word essay comparing and contrasting them.
And as for me , I'll eat crow.
Leo
PS: But wait! But wait!: maybe there's a reprieve?
Maybe the July 1998 Bowery Ballroom shows [or the one
Ms Secret X saw] did not have any Music for Film Project
tunes (or hardly any) and S. Rovner is actually Tom V.,
and he's just trying to obfuscate things and torture us?
After all, no human could have as many Television boots as
'Steve' does--- unless he 's really the man himself.

I'm going to disagree, at least regarding one show. Having heard the
recording of the 10/14/98 show in Cambridge, I can say that track 7
*is* _They Caught The Ferry_. I can't imagine that this was the only
show for which they did this, and it seems likely to me that for the
film soundtracks, Tom adapted one or more instrumental pieces he'd
already been working with.
