(TV) Unscrambling Steve Rovner's last e-mail
Here is Steve's last e-mail to MM list "unscrambled":
Steve wrote: I just found my source's trading list for the shows
(except for one show that I got from someone else).
He taped these shows himself, so I can't imagine that
he would screw up the dates. Here is the information
about each show from his list (name, date, location,
microphones used, sound quality, length of recording,
mixing/transfer info., comments):

The show had nothing to do with films. It was mainly an instrumental
show but Tom sang old songs including "Kingdom Come" and "Man in the
Back Yard" (for Halloween). Patti Smith appeared and read a poem
accompanied by Tom, Rip, J.D., and Tony Shanahan. Then in December Tom
and Rip opened for Patti Smith's annual Bowery New Year's Eve show.
Previously Tom and Rip had opened for a series of Smith's shows, and
they also did a short tour of the east coast in 1998 (Boston, Hoboken).
Maybe those instrumental shows are the ones Steve has, but they're
mislabeled. Tom didn't work on the film project until 1999.
