(TV) Non TV but a read to discuss

What a coninky-dinky!  I spent all of 10 minutes watching VH-1 in 2002 and 
it was yesterday during the top 40 countdown of hair bands of all time. 
 And the segment I watched was RATT.  Of course, I wouldn't know RATT if 
they delivered my pizza.

What was interesting was that the host was Dee Schneider and he was playing 
it like hair bands were the biggest scam of all time and a joke at the 
time, still a joke and how they pulled one over on the country.

My point is, if King Big Hair of all time can't take it seriously, why 
should we?

PS.  This is not to imply that The Ramones took anything seriously, but to 
echo Jay's comment, the saying about the Velvets is that only 200 people 
saw the Velvets perform live, but every one of them went out and started up 
a band.
