I say there are none at all. You can add some formatting like changing
the fonts and doing bold text, but I have always felt that this is
completely unnecessary in email.
I read my email from all over the world on a text-based email program,
and this formatting always shows up as just so much garbage.
I always recommend that people use the plain text option for
maximum readability and minimum message size.
