Sorry, I get the emails in digest form, so to answer some of the questions:

1.  I hate Wilco (okay, someone is going to yell at me for using the h-word)
-- but I really dislike Wilco.  

2.  Like Philip, I don't think the Strokes sounds anything like Television,
but everyone I introduced The Strokes to likes The Strokes.  They are pretty
good.  

3.  My boyfriend listens to everything I listen to, he's a complete copy cat,
and always wants me to play, in the following order: Television, Marquee Moon
and Adventure.  The only song he hates is Foxhole, he always wants to skip it.

4.  I keep getting told to get _Songs of Love and Hate_ for Leonard Cohen.  So
maybe that's a good one to start with.

5.  The new Beck is excellent!

6.  And I second the recommendation of Bob Dylan's _Love and Theft_, it's
fantastic, the songwriting is peerless.
