I have to jump into this thread with, well, what might be a not 
entirely irrelevant data point.  Recently, at a poetry reading I was 
in, one of the other participants was local music fixture Tommy 
Amoeba of the rock band Amoeba Knievel, reading lyrics from the 
group's ouvre.  One of these tunes was the incredibly catchy "Pete 
Shelley in an SUV" (next line: "S-E-L-L-O-U-T!" and repeat as long as 
you dare).
