not quite Nick, the remix was done by one of the two guys from Leftfield
(now defunct as a unit) - the connection is that Lydon once did some of that
hysterical, queeny, squawking thing he does these days on a track for their
debut album (which is actually a very fab and interesting dance record)-the
remix of course is totally fecking pointless - all the attack, power, venom
and righteousness of the original backing track has been ditched - instead
you now get this tame, lame, boring, repetitive blipfart of a drum and bass
loop with the original vocal sitting on top very queasily .....as you say
Philip why indeed????

but of course! _more_ money for old rope and the suckers will flock in their
thousands to see them - they all deserve each other-in fact it would be
totally perfect if they could also play at Buckingham Palace this summer for
the jubilee "celebrations" along with Elton John and all those other no
talent tossers from Pop Idols- the pistols somehow think they're still
rebellious and cutting edge when the truth is they're milking the jubilee in
almost as odious a fashion as Lizzie Windsor et al and they're also just as
"showbiz" and irrelevant as the anemic pop/rock acts they originally set out
to destroy-good fecking riddance to the lot of them....

yes what i've heard is great actually -there was a track on "uncut "
magazine and i loved it - very angular but strangely hooky too (sounds like
TV no?)

NP Joe Zaiwinul - In a silent way (even better than the Miles version imho )
